In a land where magic has been forgotten but peace has reigned for centuries, a deadly unrest is simmering. Three kingdoms grapple for power—brutally transforming their subjects' lives in the process. Amidst betrayals, bargains, and battles, four young people find their fates forever intertwined.

My Thoughts
I received this book as a gift for my birthday. I was reluctant to read it at first. There is a list with 37 names at the beginning of the book, detailing their kingdom and family. I'm glad the names didn't permanently put me off.  I was pleasantly surprised and the names came in handy. This book was wonderful. It had my emotions going all over the place. I would cry, get angry and want to shake a few people. I still want to know everything there is about the main characters and I am anxious for the next book.

I highly recommend this book and give it 4 Stars. Best book I've read in a while.
